What happens during the class?

Each class is a fun, relaxed, and creative two-hour experience designed for everyone — no drawing skills required! Here's what to expect: As guests arrive, fun music sets the vibe, aprons are handed out, and we make sure everyone has a charcoal pencil in one hand and a drink in the other. Your Artful Muse and Guide (a professionally trained artist) leads the session, with engaging drawing games and lighthearted activities to help everyone unwind and tap into their inner artist. There's a midway break — perfect for refreshing your drinks or snapping a few photos. All materials are provided in our classes. 🥂 Note: The Your Place package does not include food or drinks — be sure to BYO!
Is it strictly for women?

Not at all! Our events are inclusive and welcoming to everyone — all genders, gender identities, and gender non-conforming individuals are invited to join the fun. Whether you're planning a co-ed bachelorette party, LGBTQ+ celebration, or just a creative night out with friends, we believe art is for everyone and every body.
Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

There’s no strict minimum or maximum number of guests — we welcome groups of all sizes! However, there is a minimum charge based on package type: Classic Package: minimum charge = cost of 10 guests Your Place (travel party): minimum charge = cost of 8 guests Online events: minimum charge = cost of 10 guests You're welcome to book with fewer people, but the minimum fee still applies.
Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes — to secure your preferred date, Artful Muse and Guide, and time slot, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking: $350 for standard hosted parties $400 for travel parties at your location Once your deposit is received, your event is officially confirmed — and your Artful Muse and Guide, art supplies, and schedule will be reserved just for your group.
Do you only do Bachelorette parties?

While bachelorette parties are our most popular experience, we happily host all kinds of celebrations! Whether it’s a birthday party, anniversary, LGBTQ+ gathering, divorce or “freedom” party, reunion, girls’ night in, or even a “we survived the pandemic” celebration — if you’re looking for a fun and creative group experience, we’ve got you covered. Any reason to celebrate is a good one, and we love bringing people together through art and laughter.
Are there any age restrictions?

es. All standard events are 21+, since they often involve alcohol. For private venue bookings (like Your Place), guests who are 18, 19, or 20 are welcome — as long as they’re accompanied by a responsible chaperone who can ensure they won’t be consuming alcohol. We prioritize a fun, safe, and legally compliant environment for everyone involved.
Does it matter if we can't draw?

No problem at all — no drawing experience is needed! Our classes are all about fun, creativity, and shared laughter, not perfection. Think of it as a chance to learn a little and laugh a lot. Whether you can barely sketch a stick figure or haven’t held a pencil since high school, your Artful Muse and Guide will help you relax and enjoy the process.
Do you do custom packages?

Absolutely — custom parties are our second favorite kind of package (after all of them!) 🎨💃 Whether you're planning a themed event, want to combine elements from different packages, or have a unique vision in mind, we’d love to bring it to life. Is the model completely n*ked?

Yes — our figure drawing sessions feature a fully n*de model, just like in traditional life drawing classes. But no worries — it’s all handled with professionalism, respect, and a sense of fun. If your group would feel more comfortable, we’re happy to have the model wear underwear or partial coverage. Just let us know your preference when booking — we’re all about making sure everyone feels at ease.
What is figure drawing?

In artistic terms, figure drawing is the practice of sketching the human form in various poses, often n*de, to explore anatomy, movement, and expression. It’s a tradition that’s inspired iconic artists like Michelangelo, Matisse, and Egon Schiele. Historically, figure drawing was a male-dominated art form — women were barred from attending life drawing classes until the 20th century. At The Artful Bachelorette, we’re flipping the script: making this once-exclusive art form playful, empowering, and inclusive — and way more fun than your average night out.
Are taxes and tips included?

Yes — tax is fully included in your booking price, so there are no surprises there. Our Artful Muses and Guides are well compensated, but because they go above and beyond to make your event unforgettable, we recommend an 18% gratuity to show your appreciation. Please note: A 2.9% + $0.30 credit card processing fee applies for payments via Square These help us cover transaction costs and keep everything running smoothly.
Cancelation Policy

Due to the unique nature of our events, we kindly ask that all cancellations be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled party. This allows us adequate time to cancel staff and venue bookings.* Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email. If you cancel more than 48 hours before your event, your $350 deposit will be credited toward a future booking and will remain valid for one calendar year from the date of cancellation. If you cancel within 48 hours of your event, your deposit will be forfeited. Please note: We do not offer refunds under any circumstances. Flexibility on this policy is solely at the discretion of the owner. *Please be aware that some venues require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice, while most have a 10-day cancellation policy. If your venue falls under these guidelines, you may be responsible for the full venue fee.
Do we get to keep our drawings?

Absolutely! Your artwork is yours to keep. At the end of the session, you can either take your drawings home right away or, if you prefer, we’ll collect and mail them to you — free of charge, to a single address. It’s the perfect keepsake from a fun and unforgettable experience.
Can we photograph the model?

Yes — but with a little structure to keep things comfortable for everyone. At the end of the class, there's a designated photo session where you’re welcome to pose with the model. If you'd like photos during the session, just hand your camera or phone to your Artful Muse and Guide, who will gladly snap a few for you. This policy helps ensure our models feel safe, respected, and confident — while still capturing fun memories of your experience.
Do you host gay or LGBTQ+ parties?

Absolutely! We proudly welcome and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Whether it’s a gay bachelor(ette) party, engagement celebration, freedom party, or just a fabulous night out — our events are designed to be inclusive, body-positive, and joyful for everyone. Love is love, and art is for all.
Who runs this company?

The Artful Bachelorette was founded by Fleur Childs, an Australian artist and entrepreneur who has called New York City home for years. Inspired by the popularity of life drawing parties “Down Under,” Fleur brought the concept to the U.S. — turning it into a creative, empowering, and wildly fun way to celebrate bachelorettes, birthdays, and more. Her mission? To make art accessible, inclusive, and unforgettable.

How do you pay?

A detailed invoice will be sent upon receipt of your deposit. Please note that the deposit is due no later than 48 hours prior to your event. We accept all major credit cards for your convenience. To streamline the payment process, we kindly request that all payments be made as a group.
Can I get a refund on my deposit?

Unfortunately, deposits are non-refundable. Once your deposit is received, we immediately begin securing your venue and staffing your event. However, we understand that plans can change. In some cases—and with sufficient notice—we’re happy to transfer your deposit as a credit toward a future event, valid for up to one full calendar year, subject to availability.
Are the models really, really cute?

Yep — and then some. 😉 Our professional figure models are not only easy on the eyes, but also friendly, respectful, and skilled at helping everyone feel comfortable and confident. Let’s just say, your group will be very inspired by our Artful Muse.
When are classes held?

We offer classes seven days a week, with flexible scheduling to suit your group. The most popular time slots are Saturday afternoons and early evenings — these fill up quickly, so we recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred date and time. If you’re planning a weekday or off-peak event, we’re happy to accommodate based on availability.
